Note: Cash payments are available in some regions, but are currently not supported in London or for multimobility services.
How to add a payment method?
Before booking a ride, ensure you've added a payment method to your FREENOW account. Here’s how:
- Tap the 'Wallet' icon in the bottom right corner of the main screen.
- Select ‘Add personal payment method’.
- Choose either a Credit/Debit Card or PayPal, enter the required information, and tap ‘Save’.
If linking PayPal, you’ll be prompted to sign in to your account and create a billing agreement with FREENOW.
What payment methods are available?
- Visa
- Mastercard
- American Express
- Apple Pay
- PayPal
You can save multiple cards to your account, but note that existing payment method details cannot be modified. If you need to update a card, first remove the outdated information.
How to remove a payment method?
- Tap the 'Wallet' icon in the bottom right corner of the main screen.
- Select the card you want to remove and tap ‘Remove Credit Card’.
- A confirmation pop-up will appear; select ‘Yes’ to delete.
Important: You cannot remove a payment method if there’s an outstanding amount or a temporary hold on your account. To remove Apple Pay, you’ll need to do this through your device's digital wallet.
How can I change my payment method if multiple options are saved on my FREENOW account?
The default payment method is the one used in the last ride. Once the tour was started, the options for changing the payment method are restricted. Make sure to select the payment method before placing the order.
Any in-app payment methods (credit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, or business accounts) will automatically use the Quick Pay feature.
