This information is for France, where your app is based. To check the policy for another country, visit our Help Centre in your browser and tap the ‘globe icon.
Your fare is determined by several factors, including the type of vehicle chosen (metered rate or fixed rate), the distance travelled, the time required, traffic conditions, and market demand.
You can always find the fare details in the service section of the app, and a complete breakdown of charges will be provided in the electronic invoice you will receive once your trip is completed.
Note that Freenow may charge additional fees.
Taxi - Metered Rate
Calculated in real time by the car's meter. The price shown in the app is only an estimate of the cost. The final fare may sometimes be higher than this estimate due to unforeseen circumstances such as traffic, roadblocks, weather conditions, accidents, etc.
VTC - Fixed Rate
Trip rates are offered in advance. The price you see when booking the trip is the price you will pay. The price is based on the expected distance and any surcharges applied in case of high demand.
The final price may vary slightly if:
- You have to pay waiting fees
- Your trip is much longer than initially planned
- You have changed your destination and the distance is longer than the original drop-off point (you will always be asked to confirm the new fare before changing the destination).
