How do I get the receipt for my trip?
- App payments
Once your trip is complete, you'll receive a receipt from us to the email address registered to your Freenow account.
You can also download your receipt directly from the app (if the taxi was taken within the last 6 months or up to the last 20 rentals):
- Go to 'Trips' at the bottom of the main screen
- Look for your trip in the Personal or Business tab
- Select it and tap 'Invoice' to download the document
- Cash/external payments
When you pay the driver directly, whether by cash or card, Freenow will not provide you with a receipt. Instead, we send you a detailed fare overview to your email, and you can check your trip history in the app for more info.
If you need a receipt, request it from your driver directly after the ride or contact them within a week of your trip. You can see here how to contact your driver after the trip is over.
What information will the invoice contain?
You will receive two invoices together by email:
- On the first page, you will find the invoice for the transaction (trip fare*) between you and the Freenow driver.
- On the second page, you will find an invoice for the Freenow fees
*For PHV rides: if a voucher is applied, it will be shown on the invoice as a deduction from the net amount (before tax).
Can I edit the invoicing address on a receipt I've already received?
Freenow cannot edit a bill that has already been issued, as we only act as an intermediary platform between passengers and drivers/partner providers.
The details on your invoice reflect the information you have entered in your passenger account, together with the driver's details and vehicle licence.
How do I add/update my invoicing/billing address?
- Go to 'Wallet' in the bottom left corner of the app
- Select 'Add billing address'
- Enter the address and 'Save'
This new billing address will appear on the next receipts for your trips paid via the app.
How can I distinguish invoicing between my private and business trips?
Easily separate your private and business trips for simpler expense reporting by setting up your Business Profile in the app. Here’s how:
- Open the app and tap on ‘Account’ or ‘Wallet’ in the bottom left corner
- Select ‘Business profile’ or ‘Business payment method’
- Fill out your business details and add a payment method
- When ordering a trip for work, just switch to the business icon so it’s billed correctly
- You can find the invoices for your business rides in your Business Profile
Additionally, you can connect your Freenow account to SAP Concur or Cytric through the ‘Expense provider’ option for seamless expense tracking.
