Why did my FREENOW promo code or voucher fail to apply?
There are several reasons why a promo code or voucher might not work:
- Vouchers and promo codes only apply to trips paid with a payment card, Apple Pay, or PayPal. They won’t work with cash payments or business accounts.
- Each voucher has an expiration date. Check the details in the voucher’s Terms & Conditions (Ts&Cs) to ensure it hasn’t expired.
- Vouchers are applied automatically in chronological order of expiry. If you have multiple vouchers, the one that expires soonest will be applied, unless you manually select a different voucher before booking.
- Some vouchers are exclusive to new customers, which means they’re only valid on your first booking.
- Vouchers cannot be combined with other promo codes or transferred to another user’s account.
How can I view the Terms & Conditions for my FREENOW voucher?
To check the Ts&Cs of any voucher in your account:
- Open the FREENOW app and tap Account in the bottom menu of the main screen
- Go to Vouchers and credits
- Select the voucher you want to review
- Tap the “i” icon on the voucher banner, then Tap here for Ts&Cs to view full Terms & Conditions
Where do I enter my FREENOW voucher or promo code?
To add a new promo code or voucher:
- Open the FREENOW app and tap Account in the bottom menu of the main screen
- Navigate to Vouchers and credits
- Select Enter promo code and input your code. If you already have vouchers, tap the '+' button in the top right corner of the Vouchers and credits page
- After entering the code, select Save. Your voucher will now be stored under Vouchers and credits
Why is my FREENOW promo code/voucher no longer showing in my account?
There are a few reasons why a voucher might disappear from your account:
- If a voucher expires without being redeemed, it is automatically removed from your account.
- Vouchers are applied automatically in order of expiry unless you select a specific voucher manually. If you had multiple vouchers, the one that expires soonest may have been used.
- Any remaining balance on a voucher will expire once a trip is taken. For example, if you have a £10 voucher and use it for an £8 trip, the remaining £2 will not carry over.

Can I save my voucher/promo code for a later date?
Yes! You can choose to save a voucher or promo code as long as it’s still valid before its expiry date. Here’s how to pre-select a voucher:
- Open the FREENOW app and tap Account in the bottom menu of the main screen
- Go to Vouchers and credits
- Select the voucher you’d like to use. When selected, it will turn green to indicate it’s active for your next trip or rental
Note: If you don’t manually select a voucher, the one that expires soonest will automatically be applied.
Can I use more than one voucher per trip?
No, only one voucher or promotional code can be applied per trip or rental. Additionally, any remaining balance on a voucher cannot be used for subsequent trips.
I didn’t mean to use my FREENOW promo code/voucher. Can it be refunded?
Unfortunately, promotional codes and vouchers cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash. Once a voucher is used, it cannot be deactivated or re-added. Keep in mind that vouchers are applied automatically in expiry order unless you manually assign one before booking.
My voucher is about to expire. Can it be extended?
No, FREENOW vouchers and promo codes have fixed expiry dates. Once a code has expired, it cannot be extended. The expiry date is displayed when the voucher is applied to your account to remind you when it needs to be used.
Why didn’t my "New Customer" promo code apply?
New Customer promo codes are only valid for first-time users of the FREENOW app. If you’ve used the app before, even if you haven’t used a promo code, the code may not apply.
For these codes to work, keep in mind:
- They are valid only for trips paid via the app from personal (non-business) accounts.
- They cannot be transferred or combined with other discounts.
- Check the expiration date and specific Terms & Conditions to ensure it’s still valid.
What types of trips can I use my FREENOW voucher for?
FREENOW vouchers can typically be used for:
- Standard taxis
- Black cabs
- Rideshare services
- Electric bikes, scooters, and other available rentals
