We want to make sure your experience is as smooth as your trip. Here’s a quick guide to how we handle payments, from setting up your card to understanding your bank statement.
Payment methods and setup
You can choose from several secure options:
- Debit and credit cards: we accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
- Digital wallets: use Apple Pay or Google Pay for a quick checkout.
- PayPal: link your account for effortless payments.
To add a new method, just go to your profile in Freenow, tap ‘Payment’ and select the ‘+’ icon.
Keeping your payments secure
Your safety is our priority, which is why we use 3D Secure authentication.
- Authentication: your bank might ask you to confirm a payment with a text code or fingerprint.
- Temporary holds: when you book, you might see a small "pending" amount on your statement. This is just a pre-authorisation to check your card is valid, and it’s released as soon as your rental is finished.
Business profiles
If you’re travelling for work, you can keep your professional and personal rentals separate. Setting up a business profile means your invoices are sent straight to your work email.
Go to ‘Business profile’ in the main menu and follow the prompts. Just remember to tap the briefcase icon before you confirm your next rental.
