'Round up and donate' is a new feature of the app that allows you to round up your trip to the nearest euro every time you travel with us. We will then donate the difference to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
How does it work?
With the feature activated, if your trip costs 10.64€, you will pay 11€ and we will donate an additional 0.36€ directly to the ICRC.
What happens if the total amount is already rounded?
If the total amount is already rounded (for example, 10.00€), no donation will be applied.
If the total amount is 10.01€, rounding up will be applied and the final amount will be 11.00€.
How to activate it?
Activate the feature before booking:
- Head to your Account at the button on the main screen
- Select Round up and donate
- Tap the toggle on the right-hand side to activate rounding up
You can also activate it during the trip on the initial screen.
Who does your money go to?
Your money goes 100% to the ICRC, which provides emergency aid and healthcare to people worldwide.
How does it reflect on invoices?
Donations are not included in invoices because we invoice the trip on behalf of the driver/partner providing the service, while the donation is an unrelated contribution to the trip.
What are the accepted payment methods for donations?
- Private payment methods: VISA, Mastercard, AMEX, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay.
- Credit cards with the "business" flag that are not linked to any Freenow business account.
