"Social contribution" is a feature in the app that allows you to round up the cost of your journey and donate the difference to the organization "The Smile of the Child".
How does it work?
With this feature enabled, if your trip costs €10.64, you will pay €11 and we will donate the extra €0.36 directly to the organization.
What happens if the total amount has already been rounded up?
If the total amount is already rounded up (for example, to €10), then no donation will be made.
If the total amount is €10.01, it will be rounded up and the final amount will be €11.
How do I activate the 'Social contribution' feature?
- Tap the Profile icon in the bottom right corner of the Freenow app's main screen.
- Select 'Social contribution' or 'Round up and donate'.
- Activate the toggle button on the right side
You can also activate the feature during your trip from the app screen.
Where will your money go?
For trips in Greece, 100% of your contributions will go to the organization "The Smile of the Child," which defends children's rights and addresses their daily challenges.
How are contributions reflected on invoices?
Please note that no contribution receipts are issued for this specific action.
Donations are not included in invoices, as these are issued exclusively for the transportation service provided by the driver/partner. The donation is a separate, optional contribution that is not related to the service provided and does not concern the driver.
What payment methods are eligible for donations?
- Payment methods via app: VISA, Mastercard, AMEX, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, American Express.
