No prior experience is required to rent one of our electric scooters. The only condition is to be over 18 years old and have a driver's license or an ID to prove your age.
To do this, follow the steps below:
- Enter your address and social security number
- Upload a photo of your driver's license/ID card or your passport containing your profile picture - we do not accept documents without a photo ID
- Take a selfie
Your documents and biometric data will be validated by the Onfido platform and, once approved, you will be ready to rent a scooter.
Dott
Dott scooters are not available in Paris.
To rent one of our electric scooters, you do not need any documents or prior experience. The only condition is to be over 18 years old.
- If you intend to rent a Dott scooter in Lyon, please note that you will need to validate an ID document proving that you are over 18 years old - steps explained above.
For your safety and that of everyone else, you must follow the following rules:
- One person per scooter
- Do not exceed the maximum weight of 100 kg (including all accessories - bag, backpack, etc.)
- Respect local traffic laws
- Do not use the scooter under the influence of alcohol or drugs. For everyone's sake, it is better to call a taxi
- Be attentive and drive intelligently. Pay attention to large vehicles, do not drive in blind spots, and always remain focused and aware of your surroundings, traffic, and pedestrians
- Consider wearing a helmet
Once you are registered on the Freenow app and have added a payment method*, you can book any of our scooters, whether through your personal account or your business account (if multimobility services are activated).
We accept debit or credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), PayPal and Apple Pay.
