What are the requirements for renting a scooter?
To rent one of our scooters, you don't need any documents or prior knowledge. The only requirement is that you are over 18 years old.
Voi - Austria
Before renting, you must present a driver's license or ID to prove that you are over 18.
Follow the steps below:
- Enter your address and social security number
- Upload a photo of your ID card, passport, or driver's license containing your profile picture - we do not accept documents without an ID picture
- Take a selfie
Your documents and biometric data will be verified by the Onfido platform, and once approved, you can rent an electric scooter.
For your safety and that of others, you must adhere to the following rules:
- Only one person per scooter
- Do not exceed the maximum weight of 100 kg (including all accessories - bag, backpack, etc.)
- Respect local traffic rules
- Do not use the scooter under the influence of alcohol or drugs. For everyone's safety, it's better to call a taxi
- Be attentive and drive intelligently. Watch out for large vehicles, do not ride in blind spots, always stay focused, and pay attention to your surroundings, traffic, and pedestrians
- Consider wearing a helmet
Once you are registered in the Freenow app and have added a payment method*, you can book any of our scooters, either through your personal account or your Freenow business account (if multimobility services are enabled).
