It may be a temporary payment hold. It is not a debit, but a card authorization by the bank. When booking a ride through the FREENOW app, a payment method authorization is made to ensure that the payment method is working or has sufficient funds.
It is usually displayed as "Pending", and in online transactions, it may also appear as FRN*hold.free-now.com. Although it is not an actual debit, your available balance will be temporarily reduced.
Don't worry, you will not be charged twice! After completing or canceling the trip, you will be charged the actual amount, and an automatic request will be sent to the bank to release this temporary hold.
If the held amount is not released after 7 days, you will need to contact your payment provider/bank for more information. FREENOW is unable to expedite this process.
If you have paid for the trip both through the app and in cash or with a card, please contact our Support Team attaching all the receipts via chat.
