You may have noticed that your fare is slightly higher than usual. There have been some recent changes that have contributed to this;
- The National Transport Authority (NTA), who regulate Irish taxi fares, increased fares by 12% on September 1st, 2022. This was the first increase in 5 years, and followed an extensive review of the increased costs of operating for Irish taxi drivers.
- Since the beginning of September, we've noticed trips are taking longer - because of a ramp-up in the amount of road traffic. This is particularly noticeable at busy work commute times, like weekday mornings or evenings.
Due to these two factors Taxi fares have slightly increased.
If you believe you're trip has significantly been adjusted you can check out the Taxi Fare Estimator (NTA regulated), which will give you the most accurate estimate. If you find any discrepancies please reach out to our Passenger Care Team. They'll be happy to help.
