If you have received a communication from FREE NOW related to a failed payment notification, the following article can provide you more explanation.
Why did my payment fail?
In certain cases, the payment of your trip can fail. This can happen for several reasons related to your credit card or payment method:
- Expired credit card
- Exceeding your monthly/weekly payment limit
- Insufficient funds on the bank account
- Other reason invoked by your bank or payment provider
In the majority of cases, FREE NOW is not responsible for those payment failures and we recommend to get in touch with your bank or payment provider for more information.
How FREE NOW processes Failed Payments
We will let you know about the failed payment within a few days, and advise you on how you can settle the outstanding balance:
- From the profile section, tap on the last trips section
- Select the trip which had a failed payment
- Choose which payment method to use to pay the debt
- Tap on the “Pay” button
We will also proceed with automatically retrying to charge this failed payment and you will be notified by email when the payment is settled successfully.
Open the FREE NOW app
And log-in with your e-mail.
As soon as you log in a message should appear
Please click on the "Settle Payment Now" button. At this point your unpaid trip will appear on the screen.
Tap on the displayed credit card
Check that it is active. If it isn’t you can easily add a new card by tapping the plus icon in the top right hand corner of the screen.
Finally tap on the "Pay" button.
Process the transaction and clear any remaining debt.
If this still doesn't work, you should contact your bank as there might be an issue with your account.
