Where does FREENOW offer bikes for rent?
We offer MOBY ebikes in Dublin (Fingal).
To find a bike, simply open the app (2-wheels) and explore the zone you’re in. All the eBikes close by will be shown as bike icons. If you cannot see anyone, zoom out on the map to search a wider area.
When selecting a bike, the information about its location, prices, and battery percentage will be displayed.
Can I pause my bike rental?
Yes!
You are able to pause your rental as many times as you'd like, as long as it doesn't exceed the maximal rental duration. Go shopping or pop into the coffee store, the eBike will wait for sure. Just use the in-app Pause function.
During the pause function, the bike will not be able to be moved, but you will still pay the price per minute. After 2 hours, the rental will automatically end.
After your break, simply end the Pause/Parking mode in your App to unlock the eBike and continue riding!
Why does my bike slow down?
If your bike has automatically slowed down during a ride in progress, this could be due to 3 different reasons:
- You have entered a speed limit zone: Go-Slow Zones (yellow zones)- To comply with local regulations, in these areas, your bike's speed is automatically limited. Once you leave the Go-Slow Zone your bike should be able to travel at the normal top speed.
- The bike's battery level is low - If the vehicle has a low battery, it will start to gradually slow down until it stops. Remember to always check the energy level of the vehicle before renting it.
- You've gone outside the service area - All areas on the map marked in grey are 'No service area'. Any bike use is not permitted at all in these zones. If you do not return to the allowed operation, the vehicle will slow down gradually until it stops completely. You may also have problems ending your ride on the app.
What should I do if I have an accident on my bike?
Your safety is our number one concern, so all bike trips are insured by our partner.
If you have been involved in an accident, are injured or have caused harm to others, please seek urgent medical help and contact the emergency services on 112.
