FREE NOW has just made completing a trip easier! Quick Pay has been introduced to make in-app payments more efficient, meaning you can get to your next trip faster.
Previously, we've asked you to use Slide-2-Pay which requires the passenger to stay in the car after reaching the destination while you wait for their confirmation.
Quick Pay has removed this step completely. Once you've reached the destination, instead of using ‘Slide-2-Pay’, Quick Pay will automatically generate the payment. The passenger is able to immediately exit the vehicle and all you need to do is complete the trip. From here your screen will display ‘Payment completed’
What happens if I enter the incorrect amount by mistake?
To make this a smooth and easy experience for your passenger it is important that you provide the correct amount at the end of the trip. Once an incorrect amount has been processed the passenger will immediately be charged. Although this error can be corrected, the passenger will have to reach out to FREE NOW support for this to be amended. Being incorrectly charged will create a negative user experience.
What if the passenger wants to pay with cash?
Cash payments will continue as normal and are to be paid once you have reached the end destination. However, if ‘cash’ is not selected as the payment method and the passenger proceeds to pay for the trip with cash you must make sure you apply this to the app by clicking ‘Switch to cash payment’. If you proceed to click ‘Take app payment’ the passenger will also be charged via the app, effectively paying twice.
