Great news! We have introduced prebookings to our PHV ‘Ride’ fleet. This allows riders to request a ride in the future using the prebook feature.
How do prebookings work?
You’ll receive the ride offer as normal. The only change will be that you’ll see “Prebook” and the required time of pickup on the ride offer. You should accept the ride and proceed to the pickup location. We will time the offer so there is as little waiting time as possible.
We will inform your rider when you are at the pickup location but as always if you don’t see them, please give them a call.
When should I arrive for a prebooking
When a passenger makes a pre-booking, we will advise them of a 10 minute pick-up window. This time starts from the time they placed the pre-booking for. E.g. if the booking is made for 1pm, the pick-up window is 1.00pm - 1.10pm. This way you are able to meet the passenger in time for their pick-up without having to spend additional time waiting prior to the start of the pick-up window
Do I receive Cancellation Fees on prebookings?
Yes. In the same way as with a standard booking, you will be eligible for a Cancellation Fee if the passenger cancels over 2 minutes after you have accepted the ride, and you have travelled over 100m towards the pick-up.
How is the fare calculated for prebookings?
In order to ensure that the price for a prebooking is set fairly, our system will forecast likely supply and demand conditions at the time of the pre-booking.
The potential for surge at the time of the pre-booking will also be considered by our system and factored into the final fare quoted.
This way, we will ensure that it is always worth your while to accept a prebooking offer.
