Passengers can choose between two different payment methods: App or Cash.
- If the payment method is showing as 'App Payment', then the passenger will be charged via their FREE NOW account.
- If the payment method is showing as 'Cash Payment', then you'll need to take payment from the passenger directly.
Passengers can't change the payment method after booking; this can only be done via the driver app if requested. Find steps on how to switch the payment method via the driver app, here.
If you're switching from cash to account, please make sure to do this while the passenger is on board as they'll need to swipe to confirm on their app. If this is not going through, you'll need to take payment directly as this will mean either their card is blocked or they do not have a card registered to their account.
