Scrub fees are back!
Actually, they're now called Cancellation Fees. If your passenger cancels too late or doesn't show up in time, they will be charged a £5 cancellation fee.
The payment will be automatically added to your next invoice minus commission and will be in the next payment run (Thursday or Monday).
Here's everything you need to know about Cancellation Fees:
Q. How long do I have to wait for a passenger to get a cancellation fee?
A. You must wait 5 minutes before cancelling but please make sure to put on the meter after 2.5 minutes in case your passenger is running late.
Q. If I'm on my way to the pickup point and the passenger cancels, do I get a cancellation fee?
A. If you drive more than 2 minutes to the passenger, you will automatically get a cancellation fee.
Q. Are all rides eligible for a cancellation fee?
A. Standard Ad-hoc and Pre-book trips, paid via the FREENOW app are all eligible for a cancellation fee. Currently, business account and cash jobs are not eligible for cancellation fees but we are working on fixing this.
Q. Where can I see all the cancellation fees?
A. You can find your total value of Cancellation Fees on your invoice summary as well as under your tour overview where it will show each eligible Cancellation Fee in your job list.
Q. Will I be charged commission on cancellation fees?
A. Yes, FREENOW commission will be charged on cancellation fees as a service charge.
