If you see multiple charges to your account relating to the same FREE NOW booking then it is likely that these are pre-authorisations, and that you have not been charged more than once.
FREE NOW uses card pre-authorisations, a temporary hold of funds taken when you place your order, to ensure the payment method is valid and that you have enough funds available to pay the fare.
At the end of your trip this pre-authorisation will be converted into the final charge.
If you press order more than once, for example if attempting multiple bookings in a short-space of time, then more than one pre-authorisation may be taken.
We will automatically release a pre-authorisation after less than 30 minutes, but depending on who you bank with, it may take longer for the funds to become available. Find out more here.
