Important: Carsharing is currently not available in the UK. Only available in Germany, Austria, Spain, France, Poland and Italy.
Before starting your first trip, you will need to undertake the simple Driving Licence Validation (DLV) process and ensure you have a valid payment method. This process usually takes a few minutes and requires:
- Upload a photo of your driving licence
- Take a selfie
- Upload a photo of your ID card or other proof of identity.
Your documents will be verified within 24-48 hours, and if approved, your account will be activated, and you will be ready for renting a car sharing with the FREENOW app.
Important: at the moment, we only accept:
- Type B driving licences in card format with a minimum of 1-year-old issued by the European Union. We do not accept provisional or digital documents.
- European ID Cards / European Passports / Residence Permits with photo IDs
