When you rent one of our mobility services, a temporary hold will be placed on your payment method for security reasons, regardless of whether the rental is completed or not. A temporary hold is not a charge, but an amount that is temporarily reserved on your card.
This hold may appear as a "pending" charge on your account ("Freenow*Temporary Auth", "FRN*Hold.Free-Now", "Pre -Auth"). Once you finish your trip, the temporary hold will become an actual charge.
If your rental is canceled without a charge, FREENOW will immediately reverse this temporary hold. However, the transaction may take up to 7 days depending on your bank. We recommend that you contact your bank directly to inquire about specific movements on your bank statement.
